New Program for Tulsa Teens

Oklahoma has one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the nation. Students at several Tulsa Public Schools will have a chance this summer to take part in a special sex education class.

The Tulsa Health Department’s Pam Rask is coordinating the program. She says the program offers basic information to middle and high school students. It does require parental permission.

The program has already been offered in Jenks, Sand Springs and Union. The department received a grant to offer the program.
