Bids are Coming-in for Last Segment of Massive I-44 Project

File Photo

Officials are receiving construction bids for the final phase of the Interstate 44 expansion project in Tulsa.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation hopes to complete the last phase for about $50 million. The construction in the South Lewis corridor should be finished next year.

Transportation officials will analyze the offers before a final bid is submitted to the commission for approval. That is expected on July 2.

The widening project includes a new ridge over Lewis.
