Fatality Crash in Monday Morning Rush

A man is dead after being hit by a vehicle on Highway 412 near the Port-33 facility. That facility is near the Verdigris River, between  Catoosa and Inola.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the man pulled his car to the side of the road and got out. He was hit by an oncoming vehicle. He dragged about 100-feet before the S-U-V could get stopped. The man was dead at the scene.

The accident happened about 6:15 this morning according to the Patrol. The dead man has been identified as 51-year-old Ted Bowen of Tulsa.
