Police have a person on interest in connection with yesterday's home-invasion shooting of a minister in his north Tulsa home. The Reverend Kenneth Brooks is expected to survive.
Cpl. Mark Shelton says Reverend Brooks told officers he had just let in a 16-year-old acquaintance who was seeking advice when someone kicked the front door and shot him point-blank in the chest about 2 a.m. yesterday.
He stumbled to a neighbor's house to for help and was taken to a Tulsa hospital. Police say nothing appeared to have been stolen from the home.
Brooks is the former pastor of City of Refuge International Ministries, and presently owns the Hands of Glory restaurant.
