No Children Injured After Shots Fired Near Elementary School

the Tulsa Police Department:

Today at 1:56 p.m. Tulsa Police responded to the area of 1740 N. Harvard Ave. in reference to a shots fired called. This is the location of Celia Clinton Elementary School. The school was immediately placed on lock down and the building was secure not allowing anyone to enter or exit. No children inside the school were injured due to the shots fired call.

The information officers were receiving was the suspect fired a gun on the north side of the school and fled the area. Parents alerted the school which then went on lock down.

At this time there are no victims or injuries due to the shots fired call. At this time Tulsa Police and Tulsa Public Schools Police are working to get the children out safely in order for their parents to pick them up.

Tulsa Police officers are saturating the area surrounding the school and nearby neighborhoods looking for the suspect.  

The suspect information is a black male unknown age 5'08"-6'0" slender wearing a black or dark blue hoodie and blue jeans.
