Special Programming on KWGS starting this morning  at 11AM.

A bell ringing ceremony is planned at the Oklahoma History Center in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s historic 'I Have a Dream' speech 50 years ago in Washington.

The ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the center's Walter Plaza.

An Oklahoman who participated in the 1963 March on Washington, Ayanna Najuma, will speak during the program.

State Rep. Anastasia Pittman, the chair of the Oklahoma Legislative Black Caucus, says she was contacted by Gov. Mary Fallin's office to put on the event.

Oklahoma City NAACP branch President Garland Pruitt is expected to discuss the 1965 Supreme Court ruling on the Voting Rights Act.

A 2:30 p.m. bell-ringing ceremony also will take place in Tulsa. The bell ringing will be at the John Hope Franklin Reconciliation Park. There is also a watch-party at the Rudisill Library today at Pine and North Hartfort. It begins at 10:30 this morning.
