Steve Kunzweiler to Run for DA

Oklahoma District Attorney Council

Assistant District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler announced today that he will run as a Republican for election as Tulsa County District Attorney in 2014. Kunzweiler is the Chief of the Criminal Division under District Attorney Tim Harris who announced earlier this week that he will not seek re-election.

“I have been honored to serve the people of Oklahoma as a prosecutor for 24 years.
I know what the job of District Attorney requires and I have the experience, the passion and the ability to do it,” Kunzweiler said.  “For many years, Tulsa County citizens have been blessed to be represented by District Attorneys who were career prosecutors of unquestioned integrity, dedication and experience – individuals like Buddy Fallis, David Moss and Tim Harris. I want to serve the citizens of Tulsa County in the tradition of those men, who made decisions for the right reasons, based on the law and the facts and evidence before them.”
