TULSA, Okla. (AP) — An American Legion post in northern Oklahoma has donated funds to support the OSU Center for Aerospace and Hyperbaric Medicine's research into treatment of traumatic brain injuries.
The American Legion Hennessy-Cunningham Post 259 in Braman donated more than $1,200 from its annual memory poppy sales to support OSU's Center for Health Sciences ongoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy research.
OSU-CHS President Kayse Shrum says the donation from Post 259 shows the importance of the center's research and its efforts to find treatment for injured veterans with brain injuries.
