When temperatures start to warm after a bitter cold spell, city crews know to prepare for water line breaks. The cold causes the soil to shift and that can cause lines to fracture. The city’s Bob Bledsoe says if you see water coming from the ground given them a call.
BOB BLEDSOE: " During the day time, they can call the city's Customer Care Center at 918-596-2100. At night, we have an emergency number for the water line repair guys. That is 918-596-9488."
He says the city goes through this every winter and again in the summer when the temperature are extreme.
