"All Aboard" was the call Sunday as the Eastern Flyer chugged from Sapulpa to the Oklahoma City Metro and back. It was the first passenger rail service between the Tulsa and Oklahoma City metros since 1967.
There will be two more round trips this month. Both are already sold out.
Rail backers say the trips show 'what could be' if the state keeps the rail line. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has accepted bids for the purchase of the 97-miles of track, known as the "Sooner Sub Rail Line".
City Councils in Tulsa and Oklahoma City are urging the state to hang-on to the rail line.
