Kids Space Museum

CHOCTAW, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey reports two small earthquakes have been recorded near Choctaw.

The U.S.G.S. says a 3.6 magnitude quake was recorded at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday after a 3.0 magnitude temblor was recorded at 10:58 p.m. Monday. There are no reports of damage.

The area is about 15 miles east of Oklahoma City.

Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are general the smallest that are felt by humans and damage is not likely in quakes below magnitude. 4.0.
