NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — A new documentary about the Charles Portis novel "True Grit" explores the areas in southeastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas where the book was set.

The documentary, "Discovering the True 'True Grit,'" follows the characters' journey using footage and historical information about each of the areas depicted.

The University of Oklahoma Video and Media Services Department produced the documentary, while the Pioneer Library System commissioned it.
