COWETA, Okla. (AP) — The Muscogee (Creek) Nation is celebrating the opening of a new dialysis center.
The Koweta Indian Health Facility will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday for the new center.
The facility will serve as a clinic for treatment of dialysis patients with end stage renal disease.
Rhonda Beaver, the chief operations officer for the Muscsogee (Creek) Nation Department of Health, says the dialysis center is a much-needed service that will help meet the needs of the native population and provide comprehensive care.
