OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Science museums in Oklahoma City and Tulsa will play host to a special visitor during the holidays.

Science Matters Mobile Museum will visit the two Oklahoma Museum Network partner museums while area children are out of school.

The mobile museum will make its first stop at Science Museum Oklahoma in Oklahoma City on Dec. 29. It will make its second stop at Tulsa Children's Museum Discovery Lab on Dec. 30.

The discovery-based mobile museum presented by the Oklahoma Museum Network funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation encourages students to explore science as they engage in sensational hands-on activities.

On-board interactive exhibits encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes, experiment and explore. These experiences empower children to practice problem solving skills, observe outcomes, draw conclusions and share what they've learned.
