TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A 35-year-old man accused of setting fire to a Tulsa home occupied by three children — one of whom was fatally injured — has been bound over for trial.
The Tulsa World reports that Steven Lewis Clement was charged with first-degree felony murder and endangering human life during arson after a fire at the home he shared with the children's mother early September 16th.
The children, ages 5, 6 and 11, and an adult escaped the blaze. The 5 and 11-year-olds were hospitalized in critical condition due to smoke inhalation. But the 5-year-old, a boy, died four days later.
Clement remains in jail, where he's being held without bond. He returns to court March 9 for arraignment before District Judge William LaFortune.
