OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A series of earthquakes has shaken parts of central and northern Oklahoma.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the strongest of the temblors was recorded at 11:48 am. Sunday about four miles west southwest of Luther in Oklahoma County. The magnitude 3.5 quake was recorded at a depth of around three miles.
Earlier Sunday, a swarm of earthquakes rattled the Medford area in Grant County in northern Oklahoma.
The USGS says two earthquakes registering magnitude 2.8 and magnitude 3.0 were recorded within minutes of each other shortly before 8 a.m. about 12 miles south southeast of Medford.
Two others were recorded before dawn Sunday about 14 miles south southeast of Medford. The USGS says they were magnitude 2.6 and magnitude 2.7.
No injuries or damage was immediately reported following the earthquakes.
