OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Victims of the Oklahoma City bombing are being remembered on the 20th anniversary of the April 19, 1995, terrorist attack that killed 168 people and injured hundreds more.
Former President Bill Clinton, who was president when the bombing occurred and attended a memorial service days later, was scheduled to lead a delegation of officials Sunday to honor bombing victims and their family members, survivors and rescue workers during a remembrance ceremony.
The annual ceremony is held on the former site of the Oklahoma City federal building, where a truck carrying more than two tons of explosives was detonated in an act of domestic terrorism that at the time was the worst terrorist attack ever committed on U.S. soil.
The building's former site is now a memorial to the bombing's victims.
