OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A multicounty grand jury is calling for the removal of a Rogers County commissioner previously indicted on embezzlement and conspiracy charges.

Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt said Thursday that the grand jury also handed down two more indictments alleging embezzlement against Commissioner Michael Helm for allegedly selling a county-owned truck and never turning over the proceeds to the county — as required by state law.

Messages seeking comment from Helm were not immediately returned. He's previously denied wrongdoing.

The grand jury indicted Helm in July on one count of conspiracy and one count of embezzlement for allegedly choosing a private contractor to perform highway improvements without going through the public bidding process and for selling scrap metal belonging to the county but failing to deposit the cash into county acc
