TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A World War Two-era plane tipped onto its nose at Richard L. Jones Airport in Tulsa, causing a minor head injury to the pilot.
The North American T-6 Texan was taxiing on a runway about 10 a.m. Saturday when the pilot said another plane moved in front of it and he hit the brakes. The plane tipped forward and the pilot was treated at the scene for a minor head injury.
Airport operations were suspended for short time until the aircraft was returned to a hangar and the taxiway was cleared.
The pilot's name and the damage to the aircraft were not immediately released.
The Boeing website says the T-6 plane was used to train most of the Allied pilots who flew during World War Two.
