Those U.S. flags damaged in a fire at the American Legion Post #1, earlier this week, have all been replaced. The flags were used at cemetery grave sites for veterans on special holidays.
The Union High School Junior ROTC donated 1,400 flags to replace those damaged or destroyed by a shed fire where the flags were stored. The cause of that fire is under investigation.
The damaged flags were properly retired in a flag burning ceremony yesterday at the American Legion post.
