The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says one person is dead following a motorcycle crash in Pontotoc County.
Troopers identified the victim of Friday's crash as 60-year-old Roger L. Scott of Ada. The patrol says Scott was a passenger on a motorcycle at about 10:30 p.m. when it left the right side of a roadway less than a mile west of Ada and struck a tree.
Scott was thrown about five feet from where the vehicle came to rest and was pronounced dead at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma City from numerous head and internal injuries.
Troopers say the driver, 49-year-old Levi Troyer of Stonewell, was admitted to the hospital in serious condition with head and internal injuries.
The patrol says the cause of the crash is under investigation.
