Protest of Shelby Verdict at Mayfest

Facebook

A 'Die-in' is held at Tulsa's Mayfest Saturday evening. It was protest of the verdict in the Officer Betty Shelby Manslaughter case. Shelby, a White Tulsa Police Officer, was found not guilty last week in the death of Terrance Crutcher, an unarmed Black man.

About a half dozen protesters smeared red paint on white shirts. They laid inside chalk outlines in the middle of the Mayfest Arts Festival, near 3rd and Main. The 'dead' held protest signs.

Video was streamed on social media of the event.
