Attorney Accused of Shooting Vinita Coach

OSBI

Oklahoma's top law enforcement agency is investigating the shooting of a high school coach who's in critical condition.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says the shooting happened Friday night at a Vinita home, where attorney Karl Jones and high school coach Jason Sauer began arguing. The bureau says Jones eventually shot Sauer several times.

Sauer was taken to a Tulsa hospital. The 57-year-old Jones was arrested at the scene and booked into the Craig County jail on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill. Jail records don't say whether Jones had an attorney who can comment on the allegations.

Authorities didn't say what started the argument.
