Ouster Attempt Against OEA Leadership

OEA

Some members of the Oklahoma Education Association are trying to impeach President Alecia Priest and Vice-President Katherine Bishop.

A petition seeks to remove Priest and Bishop for "omitting to perform an act, which they were obligated to do, as officers of OEA."

The petition claims Priest and Bishop failed to deliver a unified message during the two-week teacher walkout, earlier this month.

The petition claims "While the president claimed during press conferences that OEA members were polled to support ending the walk-out, the poll did not include all members of OEA, and the poll was poorly written and did not follow standards for soliciting accurate information from survey participants."

There has been no statement  from Priest or Bishop.
