Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Expands Pikepass Use in Texas

Oklahoma Turnpike Authority

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma travelers with Pikepass stickers on their vehicles can now use the payment tags on more Texas tollways.

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority on Monday announced an agreement with two agencies that operate several toll roads in the Houston and Austin areas.

Oklahoma officials say a Pikepass can now be used to pay for travel on roads operated by the Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority and the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority.

Oklahoma Turnpike Authority spokesman Jack Damrill on Tuesday said the Pikepass already worked on North Texas Tollway Authority roads in the Dallas area.

Damrill says Oklahoma officials hope to expand Pikepass use to more toll authorities in the Austin and Houston areas during 2019.
