Inner Dispersal Loop pavement reconstruction and bridge rehabilitation project starts Wednesday
As part of a project to reconstruct all pavement on US-75/US-64/SH-51 (south leg of the IDL) and also rehabilitate bridges on the south and east legs of the IDL, the following closures are scheduled. Significant delays can be expected on all highway corridors around downtown Tulsa, especially during peak travel times.
- All lanes of southbound US-75/westbound US-64/SH-51 on the south leg of the IDL will be closed from 6 a.m. Wednesday until further notice.
- All lanes of southbound US-75 on the east leg of the IDL will be closed from mid-morning on Wednesday until further notice.
- Traffic will be directed to use northbound US-75 on the east leg of the IDL, to access the north and west legs of the IDL as a detour during these closures. (Clockwise direction to detour on the IDL.)
- Northbound US-75/eastbound US-64/SH-51 will also be narrowed on the south leg of the IDL during these closures.
- Be alert to traffic shifts on 6th St. under the east leg of the IDL and on Houston Ave. under the south leg of the IDL until further notice.
- The overall project is expected to complete in early 2020,
