Man Airlifted to Hospital After Roll Over Crash into a Creek

Tulsa Police Twitter

Tulsa Police, Fire, EMSA and even the Air National Guard aid in the rescue of a man trapped below the water level in his pick-up.

Law enforcement says two people were racing on southbound 169 near 36th Street North. That is when a pick-up went out of control and left the expressway. The truck rolled and landed on its top in a small creek next to the highway.

It took the fire department nearly an hour to remove the man from the wreckage. A helicopter ambulance to the hospital transported him.   Highway 169 had to be shut down for a while to create a landing zone for the helicopter.
