What You Need To Know About Oklahoma’s New Gun Law

Mark Rodgers Organization/Rifleman

Here is what is Changing:

·     The new law takes effect on Friday.

·     It is a ‘Constitutional Carry’ or ‘Permitless Carry’ law.

·     It allows anyone over the age of 21 to carry a firearm in public without a license.

·     This includes rifles and shotguns.

·     The law also applies to anyone 18 or older who is serving in the military.

Here is what is Not Changing:

·     It does not allow people to carry in additional places. You will be prohibited from carrying guns in schools, casinos and government buildings.

·     Private Property owners reserve the right to keep you and your weapon off their property.

·     It does not allow people with past felony convictions to carry a weapon.

·     It does not change background check requirements for weapon purchases.
