AUDIO: Meet Bic, the Tulsa Airport's Bomb Dog

KWGS News

A long time Tulsa Civil Servant is hanging up his collar and heading toward retirement. This is Bic The Bomb Dog’s last day on duty at the Tulsa International Airport. After nine-years, Bic is retiring.

He has protected the likes of former Vice President Biden and former First Lady Laura Bush. But he has also protected the rest of us too. Sniffing out luggage with his keen nose, looking for any trace of explosives.

Airport staff says Bic is a familiar sight and will be missed.

However, his handler will not miss him. Officer Richard Davis has been Bic’s partner for nine years. It seems Officer Davis is also retiring.  He and Bic will retire together. Bic will make the transition from police dog to Officer Davis’ pet.
