Kevin Stitt will become the 28th governor of the State of Oklahoma on Monday. Live coverage on KWGS and publicradiotulsa.org begins at 11:30 a.m. The event wraps up a weekend on pre-inaugural events in Tulsa.
An event was held yesterday at the Oklahoma Aquarium at Jenks for children and their families and a black tie event was held last night at the Tulsa Convention Center Ball Room.
Governor-elect Stitt, and all newly elected or re-elected statewide officials, will take the oath of office on the south steps of the State Capitol late Monday morning.
The oath will be administered by incoming Oklahoma Supreme Court Chief Justice Noma Gurich. It will be followed by a speech from the new Governor.
