Oklahoma Surpasses 3,400 COVID-19 Cases, 200 Deaths

The Oklahoma State Department of Health on Tuesday reported 130 new cases of COVID-19 and 10 additional deaths.

The state has now had 3,410 cases reported since March 6 and 207 deaths since March 18.

All of the deaths happened between April 22 and April 26. Four were in Tulsa County: a man and a woman 65 or older, and a man and a woman between 50 and 64 years old. Tulsa County now has 32 total deaths, the most in the state. It has the second-highest number of cases, 506.

Over the course of the outbreak, 693 people have been hospitalized. According to state data, 288 people are currently hospitalized.

State Deputy Secretary of Science and Innovation Elizabeth Pollard announced Tuesday the state had broken the 60,000 tests mark. The state department of health reported 60,037 specimens to date.
