In-Person Applications Available For Tulsa's Emergency Rental Assistance Program

Tulsans who need help paying their rent or utilities can get in-person help applying for assistance Saturday.

Trained specialists will be at First Baptist Church North Tulsa, 1414 N Greenwood Ave., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help tenants apply for the City of Tulsa's Emergency Rental Assistance Program, which is administered by Restore Hope Ministries.

People interested in applying should bring government-issued ID, copies of their lease and utility bills, and some form of income verification, like a pay stub or tax document.

First Baptist Church North Tulsa will host additional events June 19 and 26, also from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

To be eligible for assistance, you must have lost your job, had your income decreased or suffered other financial hardships due directly or indirectly to COVID-19. Applicants must be 18 or older, a city or Tulsa County resident, and have household income no more than 80% of the area median income.

More than 8,000 people have applied for the City of Tulsa's emergency rental assistance program to date, and more than $3 million has been distributed.
