Suspected Copper Thief Electrocuted at Broadcast Tower

Google Street View

Broadcast towers use a lot of copper for grounding. The towers also use a lot of electricity. The transmitter sites are extremely dangerous places if you don’t know what you are doing.

One man is electrocuted and another is hospitalized after apparently trying to steal some of that copper from the transmitter site of KRMG Radio at Mannford.

A station engineer found the men yesterday morning.
