Tulsa, OK – Nimrod International Journal will offer its annual Conference for Readers and Writers at an all-day event to be held tomorrow (Saturday the 22nd) on the University of Tulsa campus. More than 40 writers and editors will take part, including Amy Bloom, Ron Hansen, and Linda Pastan, and the theme for this year's event will be "What Time is It?" Today on ST, we speak with the Mexico-based, British-educated writer Jennifer Clement, who will also participate in the conference. Clement is the author of "Widow Basquiat" (a memoir about Suzanne Mallouk's life in New York in the 1970s and 1980s with the famous painter Jean-Michel Basquiat) as well as the novels "The Poison That Fascinates" and "A True Story Based on Lies." She is also the author of several books of poetry, among them "The Next Stranger" and "Newton's Sailor."
