See hundreds of orchids on show and for sale at Oklahoma Orchid Society’s “Close Encounters—with Orchids” Spring 2024 Show & Sale, the Society’s AOS-sanctioned event of the year. This two-day Show & Sale will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 4 & 5, from 10am to 4pm at Will Rogers Gardens Exhibition Center, 3400 NW 36th Street, Oklahoma City, OK.
Admission and parking are free, and the event is open to the public.
Vendors will have hundreds of beautiful orchids from around the world for sale, and OOS will have growing supplies for sale. Be sure to stop at the Welcome Booth to speak with OOS members about growing and re-blooming orchids, ask questions, purchase raffle tickets, engage your children in an orchid scavenger hunt, and learn how to become a member of the Society. Come, have a “close encounter with orchids”!

For over 40 years, we have offered all German language class levels, taught by native speakers or certified instructors, with a small student to teacher ratio. Twice each year we provide 12 classes over 12 weeks of teaching in spring and fall. Classes are held inside the GAST Event Center.

Presented by Downtown Tulsa Partnership, the Downtown Tulsa Midweek Market provides foods from area agricultural producers of meat, produce, dairy, and more, as well as handmade goods from artisans and makers, and is registered as a farmers’ market by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture and Forestry.
The Market's primary goal is to bring fresh food offerings to Downtown Tulsa, a USDA-certified "food desert." Visitors to the Market can will also enjoy local arts and cultural performances and other entertainment, including fitness classes and cooking demonstrations!

The state’s only sanctioned Sherlock Holmes society is celebrating its 50th year with a free symposium. The Afghanistan Perceivers of Oklahoma, based in Tulsa since 1974, will offer four presentations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 18th at the University of Tulsa’s Allen Chapman Student Union. A featured speaker will be Monica Schmidt, one of the country’s preeminent Sherlockians and a high-ranking member of the Baker Street Irregulars, the world’s most exclusive Sherlockian group.
