Tulsa, OK – As the board overseeing trash pickup in Tulsa moves toward a new contract, a proposal to strip the panel of its' authority is scheduled for action tomorrow. City Councilor Bill Christiansen is author of an ordinance to move oversight from the TARE board to the city. He says arguments against the change don't hold water
The TARE board is poised to seek bids on a new ten-year trash hauling contract. The current agreement with private collectors expires next summer.
