After Holiday, Casino Site Okayed for Fireworks

KWGS News
Crazy Debbie's Fireworks at the shell of would-be casino in Broken Arrow.

The 4th of July was last week, but fireworks are still in the news.

The state went to court when a fireworks stand opened in the shell of the Red Clay Casino in Broken Arrow. A federal judge had ordered work on the casino stopped because it was it was not properly sanctioned by the Indian Gaming Commission. The state contented that the fireworks stand violated the judge’s order.

Today, the judge ruled that was not the case and cleared the land-owners and Crazy Debbie Fireworks of any wrong doing.

The company had sold fireworks on the corner for years.
