A man is dead after being shot by Tulsa Police last night in mid-town Tulsa. Authorities say the man was a suspect in the armed robbery of the Taco Mayo near 4th and Utica and several other crimes.
Officers spotted the man on a porch last night. When they approached the man started running and apparently pulled a gun on officers. That is when one officer fired, striking the suspect at least once.
He was rushed to a Tulsa hospital, but later died of his wound. The officer is on routine suspension while the case in reviewed by Internal Affairs and the Tulsa County District Attorney's office.
The suspect killed was 32-year-old Manuel Sanchez.
