OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey reports four earthquakes ranging from an estimated 2.9 to 3.7 magnitude have been recorded in Oklahoma.
No injuries or damage are reported.
The 3.7 magnitude temblor was recorded at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday about 12 miles southeast of Stillwater while the first two quakes both registered at 3.1 magnitude and occurred between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. The first occurred 19 miles northeast of Enid, and the second 27 miles southeast of Enid.
The 2.9 magnitude quake occurred at 6:23 a.m., also 27 miles southeast of Enid.
Geologists say quakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest that are felt by humans and that damage is not likely with quakes below magnitude 4.0.
