Tulsa Police Investigates Serial Rapist

Tulsa Police are investigating a rash of sexaul assaults that have taken place in the past week. Police speculate the attacks are all related.  Most of the attacks have been in the mid-town region. One has been in south Tulsa. Below is a statement from Tulsa Police detailing the crimes.

On Friday, June 6, 2014 at 6:00 a.m., at the Coppermill Apartments, located at 5700 E. 71st Street, a female was walking in the parking lot when she was approached by a male suspect. The suspect grabbed her purse and laptop computer. The female struggled with the suspect in an attempt to keep her property. During the struggle, the victim was knocked to the ground. The suspect  pulled down the victim’s pants and made lewd comments reference to sexually assaulting her. The suspect did not sexually assault the victim, but he did take her purse.

Suspect’s description: Black male with a dark complexion, 5’06” and 145 lbs. He had an unknown tattoo on his right forearm. He was wearing a red shirt and black Dickies pants.

On Sunday, June 8, 2014  at 6:00 a.m.,  in the area of 4200 S. Detroit, a female victim opened the back door to her residence to feed her pet. As the victim opened the door, a male suspect forced his way into the residence. The suspect knocked the victim down and got on top of her. The suspect simulated a sexual act on the victim. The suspect made several lewd sexual comments to the victim. The comments he suspect made were similar to comments made in the first attack. The suspect eventually fled the victim’s residence after removing cash from her kitchen cabinet.

Suspect’s description: The victim was not positive of  the suspect’s race, but stated that the suspect had a dark complexion. He was 5’08” and 170 lbs.  The suspect was wearing a gray hoodie, dark jeans and he was wearing brown work gloves. The victim said the suspect might have had some facial hair on his chin. She also said the suspect’s voice appeared to be that of a young male in his 20’s.

On Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 9:30 p.m., in the area of 1400 S. Elwood, a female was at her residence when the power to her home suddenly went out. The victim went outside to see if any of her neighbors had power, which they did. While the victim was outside, a male suspect entered the residence through the back door. When the female went back inside the residence the suspect attacked the victim and raped her. The suspect repeatedly made lewd comments during the assault. These comments were also similar to comments made in the previous two assaults.    

Suspect’s description: The victim was not positive of the suspect’s race, but he was described as having a light complexion. He was 5’08 and 110 lbs. The suspect was wearing dark clothing.

In two of the incidents, the suspect was wearing a gray or black hoodie, which hid his face. He has been describes as possibly a black or Hispanic male.
