Tinker AFB Hosts Air Show This Weekend

www.tinker.af.mil/airshow/

TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are set to headline a weekend air show at Tinker Air Force Base.

Col. Christopher Azzano said in a statement that it has been four years since the aerial demonstration group performed in central Oklahoma. He said military air shows like this weekend's Star-Spangled Salute are some of the most effective ways to demonstrate the nation's military capacity and recruit people to an all-volunteer force.

The air show will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It will feature flyovers by Tinker's KC-135 Stratotanker, E-3 Sentry and E-6 Mercury.

Admission is free, but some activities will carry a fee.

Visitors cannot bring alcohol, pets, fireworks, glass containers, illegal drugs, backpacks or bicycles and will be subject to searches at any time.
