TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Oral Roberts University has extended the contract of president William M. Wilson by five years and announced campus improvements as the evangelical school enters its 50th year.
The Tulsa World reports that Wilson has accepted a contract that runs through the summer of 2021, with an option to extend his service beyond that.
Wilson was vice chair of the ORU Board of Trustees for five years before replacing Mark Rutland as president two years ago.
Officials also announced plans for major campus renovations to mark the university's 50th anniversary. Plans include a new, apartment-style residence for upperclassmen, track and field facility and a tennis complex.
