A man is behind bars after threatening to crash his car into a Tulsa Police station. The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Gentry Miller, was arrested after a three hour stand-off with authorities in the middle of 11th Street at 101stEast Avenue.
The man was a block away from carrying out his threat at the Mingo Valley Police Division when his car ran out of gas. He apparently threatened officers who came to check on a stalled car report. That is when the stand-off started. He crawled to the car's trunk to escape the pepper spray before eventually surrendering to officers.
Officers are already nervous because of recent shootings across the country. There is also a higher than normal sense of security as today marks the 14th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks.
