The Tulsa County Sheriff confirms he has been called to testify before the Tulsa County Grand Jury that is investigating his office. Sheriff Stanley Glanz is expected to testify next week.
The Grand Jury was called after citizens became upset over following the shooting death of an unarmed gun-running suspect last April. He was shot by a reserve deputy who claims he mistook his pistol for a taser.
That led to allegations of inadequate training and favoritism in the department, because the reserve deputy was a close friend and contributor to the sheriff and his political campaigns.
