Jarrod Wyatt

A smoky haze hangs over the town of Sperry today after a wildfire burned near Sperry Lake. The fire broke out about mid-afternoon yesterday.

Fire officials say they are watching for hot spots. The fire burned about 100 acres along Highway 11 between Peoria and Cincinnati Avenues. There were no injuries.
