One person is dead in a late evening hit and run accident in east Tulsa. It happened near 11th and South Garnett, near the I-44 interchange.
One person was pushing another across Garnett in a wheelchair when they were struck by an oncoming car. They were not in a cross walk. One of the two was dead at the scene. The other was taken to the hospital.
The driver of the car fled the scene. However, the car was found a short time later abandoned in a neighborhood.
