Another Raft Race in the Books

Great Raft Race

Hundreds of people lined the banks of the Arkansas River from Sand Springs to Tulsa for the annual Labor Day Great Raft Race.

Over 120 rafts with some 600 people floated down the river from the Case Park at Sand Springs to the River West Festival Park near 23rdand Jackson.

The fastest float time was an hour and 28 minutes. The current was a little swifter than in previous years. 

Safe crews report only one minor injury. A woman fell and hit her head.
