Artist Profile: Violinist Gregory Lee on Performance Oklahoma

Offering a recital with pianist Stephanie Shames in Pitman Recital Hall at the University of Oklahoma on Sunday, November 17th, on the University's Sutton Concert Series,  Gregory also performed the program in Oklahoma City on Sunday, November 10th at the First Unitarian Church,  donating all proceeds to the United Way Tornado Relief Fund for Oklahoma victims of last May’s storms.   Currently an Associate Professor of Violin at the University of Oklahoma and Concertmaster of the OKC Philharmonic, Gregory also plays regularly with several Oklahoma based chamber ensembles.

In this week's program,  we’ll meet Gregory, who was born in Sydney, Australia and learn about his path to the violin, into a life of music, to the United States and most recently, to Oklahoma!  And we'll hear his November recital at OU as well as excerpts from recent OKC Philharmonic and Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble performances on this first edition of a new series profiling leading Oklahoma classical musicians.

Tune in Saturday evening at 8:00 on Classical 88.7-1.
