Tulsa City Councilors learn the state has already issued 100 licenses for medical marijuana dispensaries in the city limits. Under the city's proposed spacing requirements, the Indian Nations Council of Government's Susan Miller says there could be many more. She says Tulsa could have up to 1,200 such dispensaries. However, that would be highly unlikely.
Under the proposal, those with existing state licenses will not have to relocated if they are too close to another such dispensary. The city's proposal calls for businesses to be at least 1,000 feet apart.
