SAVE THE DATE: The Give & Take with NPR’s Wade Goodwyn

Allison Shelley/NPR

His voice has been described as being “like warm butter melting over BBQ’d sweet corn.” And you can hear him here in Tulsa next month!

NPR National Desk Correspondent Wade Goodwyn joins us at the Lorton Performance Center on the TU campus Saturday afternoon, April 18th for a very special Give & Take.  Mark your calendar now; tickets for this opportunity to hear NPR’s Dallas-based Goodwyn will be available soon!

Goodwyn is an NPR National Desk Correspondent covering Texas and the surrounding states.  Reporting since 1991, Goodwyn has covered a wide range of issues, from mass shootings and hurricanes to Republican politics.

Though a journalist, Goodwyn really considers himself a storyteller. He grew up in a Southern storytelling family and tradition, and considers radio an ideal medium for narrative journalism.

For a taste of that storytelling style (and rich baritone), take a listen to some of Wade’s more recent stories on NPR:
